By now, most companies know they should be using social media to promote their business. Inbound marketing is about luring customers to your site by providing current, relevant content. But if you don’t share that content, no one will know about it. That’s why you need to be using social media to increase the number of visitors to your sit and generate more leads.
But, if all of your posts are blasts about your own content, people will ignore you. The same can be said if you only are retweeting or repostings the posts of others. You need a specific strategy with goals and expectations of all of your social media engagements. Theoretically, a 50/25/25 plan is a good starting point, but that doesn’t mean it works for every business and industry.
